65 years today, Mummy Ji — and this birthday feels different, in the best way. After a year of missing you across the distance, Ritika is finally there with you, and it shows on both your faces.

Vivek is still in New Zealand this year, a week behind everyone else, but not for long — landing next Tuesday, counting down every day until he can wish you in person instead of through a screen.

And Omyra — this is only the second time she's celebrated your birthday, but the very first time she gets to do it with you, hugging you instead of waving at you. She is so happy, Nani Ji, and so are we.

I am a week behind everyone else this year, still in New Zealand while Ritika and Omyra are already with you — but I am counting the days, and next Tuesday I will finally be there too.
